After postponing action last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on the Judicial Redress Act (Bill H.R. 1428), today at 10 am (see here). The Bill gives to citizens of certain countries a right to pursue their privacy rights in US courts.
The adoption of the Bill is of particular importance after the Safe Harbor was voided by the ECJ and negotiations between the US and the EU are ongoing to find an alternative. See here for more information.
